ABOUT MY CITY(MOJOKERTO)

 


Mojokerto Regency, is a district in East Java province, Indonesia capital of Mojokerto. This district is bordered by Lamongan and Gresik regency to the north, Sidoarjo and Pasuruan in East, Malang and Batu in the south, and Jombang Regency in the west.
Mojokerto regency composed of 18 districts, divided again over a number of villages and wards. Now many buildings and government offices are transferred to the City Mojosari, east of the city of Mojokerto.

Mojokerto regency has a number of interesting attractions.
In Mojokerto there Trowulan district, once a center of Majapahit Kingdom. This is evident from the many remnants of the kingdom's history that were found there. Trowulan is a major tourist attraction in the history of this district, because there are dozens of temples of the Majapahit Kingdom relics, tombs of the kings of Majapahit, and the Great Hall which is estimated to be right in the center court of Majapahit. Mountainous region in the south is also the mainstay tourism areas, including Rafting Tours and Outbound Training Locations OBECH Wilderness Experience, hot water bathing in Pacet and vacation villas in Trawas.
Another thing is the development of small industry in Mojokerto, among others: Sub Soko known as industrial centers of shoes and sandals, famous for its handicrafts Trowulan District of gold, silver, and stone sculpture.
